NOTICE: A "Must" Read on the Cafe Pacific Blog

Readers are urged to visit David Robie's blog Cafe Pacific to read "A Case for Change, Peace and Progress," a report by someone who attended the meeting hosted by Victoria University at which Jone Dakuvula and John Samy shared and receive audience feedback on their views.

Also, click here to read Samy's full address. This is an extremely important paper, detailing work on the NCBBF, the People's Charter, "promises" to the PI Forum about elections, and NZ Australia, SDL, Methodist heirarchy, and mainstream media opposition to the Interim Government's moves. I have also placed it among "Background Material."

Interesting Piece by David; but I have great difficulty granting any credability to John Samy, Jone Dakuvula and Bainimarama. All the Un-censored news shows that the Coup, and draft Peoples Charter were in existance well before 2006; I have heard the Charter draft was under discussion in 2003 / 04.
As for Bainimarama' his motive is generally accepted as being to save himself from Treason, sedition and Murder charges.

Jerry, I've published your comments but not without misgivings. The People's Charter in existence in 2004? Any evidence to support this amazing claim?

Bainimarama's motives --"generally accepted" by whom? People often act for a number of motives. If you are correct about treason and sedition (he was cleared of any murder involvement), could he not also have purer motives?

I'll happily publish your further views if you can provide some evidence.

Best wishes, Croz

Thanks Croz. The issue about the early appearance of what became the peoples charter comes from claims by concerned folk from Fiji, living in New Zealand and see the documents circulated among certain groups; mainly Indian I think in New Zealand.
These appeared in early messages of the Resistance blogs; Solivakasama and predecessors!!

Thanks Jerry,

Can any reader provide more information about what Jerry says? Something more than hearsay, if at all possible.
